Before our Monday Motivation I want to remind you to read the weekly newsletters. Parents can find the newsletter in the Parent roll down menu or by clicking this link. Students can find the newsletter by scrolling through the Student Information menu. Do you agree or disagree that happy people are more successful? Can you share an example of a time your happiness led to success?
For example: One time my happiness led to success was when I was in 4th grade. We were doing a project/game called the "Oregon Trail". The object of the game was to travel with your group across America and settle in Oregon. I was very happy doing this project because of the group I was in. We all got along together and had fun, which made me happy. I think because I was happy my group was successful.

I agree that if you are happy, you are more likely to be successful. I agree because I think that success is a state of mind, and if you are in a happy state of mind your brain will make connections for you to be successful.

I think happiness leads to success because when your happy you have a bigger imagination and so you can think of ways to problem solve

I disagree with this statement because you might be distracted when you're happy and not be successful. For example, if you are happy by having your best friends in your group, you might be distracted and not be successful.

I disagree with you DK because when you get a good grade, I think you`re so happy that you want to work more to get like a 100%.

I disagree with DK because being in groups with your best friends is not the only way that you can get happier and I understand you might get distracted by being happy but I don't think happiness itself will distract you at all.

I think that if you are too happy you would get too distracted with other people by talking with them so I think you don't need to be happy to be successful.

Oh I forgot to say something, I never had a time that happiness led me to success only when success led me to happiness.

I think happiness does not lead to success because you may be distracted when you are not happy.

I think happines leads to sucess because one time in first semester me and my friends fought. When it was time to go to BP I was sad. Then we had a test. I was trying to think what i was going to say in lunch so I faild my test. Also other people say your going to fail your test, if we were sad or angry.

I think that happiness comes first because when we are happy we work more hard and not be like I don't want to do this. One day I was working on a project and I was kind of sad because I couldn't do the project then I thought if I was happy I would do like I have to do this so I am doing it.

I think happiness can (but not always because of what DK said) lead to success since you might get distracted when you are not happy and I remember when I was angry or sad, I couldn't concentrate at anything. I tried reading a book, I couldn't do it and of course, I couldn't do anything else since I was really distracted.

I disagree and agree. I disagree because (as DK said) when we work together with our best friends we talk more than we work, but I agree because if we stay with someone we don´t like and don´t talk we won´t work motivated.

I totally agree this because recently, I watched a scary movie even I didn't want to watch, and I kept thinking on other scary stuffs, and this could hear funny, but I can't even go to the bathroom by my self at night! I also even start worring with everything that I am doing, and I do not feel confortable. But if I watch funny videos, or I stay with my parents joking, and playing around, I forget about that and be happy! And in school, I finish the work so fast!

In 4th grade I was doing a project with Arantxa and we were so happy that we were together that we did an amazing drawing and project, we are not really good drawers, but we did a good job.

I agree because whenever I´m with my mom I am happy, and then I come to school happy, do my work with pleasure, and I get good grades.
