Today KJ's current event was about RoboRoaches, remote controlled cockroaches. Do you think introducing RoboRoaches in classrooms is a good idea or not? Explain why or why not?

I think it is a good idea because it helps you get into some science and have some fun!

I agree with DK, and something I'll add is that you can discover new things!

I liked it because it is interesting, on the other hand I feel poor about the cockroaches.

I think it is not good because bugs have their own life and if they controlls their life, they would never have their freedom.

I agree with Soyoun because I don't like to be caught and their kife is same with our life, but the problem is... I HATE COCKROACH!!!!!

Well, in the video, it says that you can always set them free. And it's not controlling their lives, it's just like borrowing them. It does no harm to the cockroach. :)

Yes, you can set the cockroach free whenever you want but borrowing a life of a living cockroach and tricking it to make them go where you want? I don't think you will want to live a life like the cockroach's... Also, even if you don't actually hurt the cockroach, I think it goes through pretty painful steps.

In "their life" I mean "life"

I agree with Soyoun but I think it is a fun activity and I think it will help us think about how antennas and brains work.

I think that this is a very interesting use of neuroscience, however, making it an app, accessible to anyone with the device and a smart phone concerns me a lot.

I think Mr. Johnson made an excellent point in that science is not a game. While it can be fun, we as humans need to be careful that the decisions we make and the experiments we complete do as little harm as possible.

I think it's a very good think to study about how it works and how the cockroach but on the other side I feel sad for the animal that is being controled by the human.

I think this is a great idea because it can help discover things because if a space for you to explore is too small, you can put a little camera and see the space.

I think it`s a bad idea because if someone is controlling where your going is really mean and your kind of a bully for incects

I think it is not a good idea cause people could take the little chip and mess with the whole class.

I like the idea, its cool, but i'd be much more comfortable if the entire thing was a robot instead of making a real one into a robot. And why a cockroach?

I believe it's an outstanding breakthrough to Neuroscience, it will help humanity understand a little bit more about the brain through cockroaches. This branch of science is a very important one, but it can also be a very dangerous one also. As Enzo pointed out, people could use this technology for various malicious things.

I think this is an awesome way to get into brains and other complicated things but putting the cockroach in cold water, and making it think things that are not true just to get it to do things we want? I think that is little bit too "cruel" and painful if you see it from cockroaches' point of view.
