We are almost finished with Fever 1793 by Laurie Halse Anderson. What will happen to Matilda? Is her mom really alive? What will she do with tiny Nell? This video gives us a virtual tour of Philadelphia at the time of the Yellow Fever outbreak. This is a great source to help us visualize what life could have been like for the citizens of Philadelphia. Can you use this tour to help you predict the ending to our story? What was the most interesting stop on the tour of Philadelphia to you and why? Comment and respond to a peer's comment by Tuesday.

I agree that it was cool that all those people had to survive, but I think it was kind of sad that all these people died because of the yellow fever.

DK, I agree with you that it was sad, but it was not as sad as seeing kids hungry all around the world to me.

My favorite part was when Sam visited bush hill, but I really would have liked a look inside it.

I also agree that a look inside would've been cool, but just knowing that bush hill really existed was ok.

I think the coolest part was when they went to bush hill. I think that because that's where most people survived.

It was interesting to learn about the history of the yellow fever but it was even more interesting to see the effects of it.

I don't thnk this video helps a whole lot bacause it only talks about Philadelphia, and not that much about the yellow fever and nothing about Matilda, or Eliza, or Lucial, or anybody else in the story.

The part that really got my attention was when it showed all of the people in old clothes, because I wanted to know how would they get all of those people to wear those kinds of clothes and because it was funnier them "acting" then only looking at the man standing there and talking the informations.

I agree with you Olda, because right now we get sick really hard, but if we were born on that time, we could've get a lot sick.
